No Guarantee but there is HOPE
Last Saturday I volunteered at our local “Save the Horses Rescue” to help raise money at their annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza Event. Lots of kids having fun riding ponies, hunting for eggs, playing games, lovin’ on some very well deserved horses, mules, sheep, pigs, chickens and a few other critters.
All for an amazing cause to help the less fortunate animals mostly horses who have been either abused, abandoned or neglected in ways that would break your heart. The stories of abuse are very difficult to hear and the horses, etc. that make it, have a very long road to recovery. The love, time and money these volunteers put into helping bring these horses is cause to celebrate!
I am reminded there are no guarantees in life but there is always HOPE!
Jesus is HOPE and Easter is that special time to take notice and be reminded of the promise and delivery of HOPE.
In tragedy, there is HOPE. In unimaginable and indescribable torture and pain, there is HOPE.
People like Cheryl, Roger, Emily, Vickie, Bob, Cella, Lori, Morgan, Natalie, Henry, Danielle and so many more give of themselves to help restore what others have tried to destroy. People will disappoint at a minimum and some will even go so far as to cause great pain and torture to innocent and undeserving people and animals.
But HOPE is alive and there is good in people. Choosing to make a difference just starts with one person and it starts with me and it can start with you.
I am grateful God brought HOPE “confident expectation” through his son, Jesus. Grateful for good people like those at “Save the Horses Rescue.”
