Meet Lin…

To keep it real and simple, here is what I can tell you about who I am at my core… 

I’ve been asking curious but genuine questions ever since I can remember. I care deeply about personal growth and development for myself and others.  My gifts and talents are derived from my most difficult life experiences and daring adventures. I have always been intrigued how animals communicate with each other as well as with humans.  Because of the incongruencies  of human behavior, as a young child I learned to trust animals more than humans.  As a result, I developed the gift of tapping into my intuitive nature more readily and having a deeper  connection with my animals.

Over the years I became more aware that when we take the time to listen to what animals are communicating, we learn so much about our own nature of being!   Horses particularly have a dynamic ability to bring to light how our behavior, emotions, thoughts, and energy affect self, others, the relation to self and others and to the environment around us.  This new self-awareness is often life changing, improving our relationships, our leadership, and our confidence.  I believe there is a leader in all of us and our leadership shifts throughout the day much like our equine friends.

From the very day I connected with my first horse, Avante, I began to immediately learn new insights into how I was showing up and the baggage I brought with me.  She gave subtle hints but for me it was loud and clear!  She mirrored my energy,  nothing like I had ever experienced with another animal.  The magic began and my fascination grew to the point I knew this was beyond incredible and needed to be shared.  In 2009, I left my amazing career as Relationship Manager for JPMorgan Chase with the intention to combine my years of experience and talent in relationship management with my passion and love for deeper learning from horses.   

In 2010, I flew to California for an intensive Equine Guided Education certification program through Ariana Strozzi at SkyHorse Academy. After years of experimenting and observing my own herd dynamics, I created Affinity Ranch, Inc. an Equine Assisted Learning facility in Castle Rock, CO on our 35- acre horse property.  I was blessed for many years to partner with my herd and work with individuals, groups and corporate leaders. Through various interactions and exercises with the horses, we worked on being fully present, deepening the connection to self and improving personal and professional relationships, the awareness and effects of non-verbal communication, strengthening  and refining  leadership skills and styles and so much more.

I was fortunate to grow through that very special time and had a life transition myself in 2017.  I moved to Georgia to be near family and friends and to regroup! The following year I began working on my Professional Life and Leadership Coaching Certification and shortly thereafter my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credentialing from International Coaching  Federation (ICF). I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to advance my coaching skills and facilitate Equine Assisted Learning at this stage of my life!  

I believe integrity, authenticity, sincerity, and confronting are essential to a meaningful relationship both personally and professionally. Life will get complicated, challenging, and messy but, who you surround yourself with, what you tell yourself and the story you choose is the game changer. My work ethic inspires me to dig deep, do the uncomfortable, learn from my failures, and take a moment to dust off and start again.  I am reminded daily that we are more capable and enough than our inner ego would have us believe. 

Above all else, I believe God is my source for everything. We are not meant to be alone (like the herd) and together we are unstoppable!
